Miss Universe 2011 Winner: Miss Angola Leila Lopes

Miss Universe 2011 has just been crowned, and the winner is Miss Angola, Leila Lopes.

Lopes beat out 88 competitors from other countries in the 60th edition of the annual beauty pageant. Miss Angola now takes the crown from Mexico’s Ximena Navarrete.

The pageant aired live tonight on NBC and over a billion people were expected to tune in and watch.

China’s Luo Zilin came in fourth, Philippines’ Shamcey Supsup was third, Brazil’s Priscila Machado finished second, and Ukraine’s Olesia Stefanko was picked first runner up.
