Vinny Leaves the ‘Jersey Shore’

It looks like Vinny’s time at the Jersey Shore has come to an end. Vinny has been part of the Jersey Shore cast since season one and has been ‘fist pumpin’’ ever since. The cast has just finished filming season 4 in Italy and is currently in the middle of filming season five at the Seaside house. Vinny was spotted last Wednesday leaving the house in a taxicab.

It was reported that he’s become drained and homesick and is no longer interested in being part of ‘Jersey Shore’. He was spotted back at the house only to leave again on Friday, and it seems like he’s left for good. Now that Vinny has left questions of a replacement have begun to surface.  There was talk that MTV had planned bringing in an entirely new cast; but reps at MTV have confirmed that they have no intention on replacing their iconic Jersey Shore guidos and guidettes.

Trend Alert: Colour Blocking!

It seems that the colour stylings of the late 80s and early 90s are creeping back into fashion.
If you haven't already noticed color blocking is now at the frontlines of the runways. Color block fashion is one of the hottest trends right now. Spotting the trend is very easy this season when done in bright colors, but it can also be established with muted, monotone, contrasting and complimentary colors. You can get this look with clothes, accessories, bags and shoes.

Wearing colour blocks is not complicated. There are really only two rules to consider when trying to achieve this look:

1. Pick two solid shades of the same family, use jewel tones as they work best for this.

2. Pair it with nude shoes and minimal jewelry and make up.

Since color blocking is already a huge statement on it's own you don't want to weigh it down with heavy jewelry and bright shoes.

If wearing color blocking seems a little to flashy and bold for your taste, you can always try the colour blocking in a shoe or a bag for a more subtle statement.

Chris Bosh Spotted In The Hamptons

Well this is a rather pleasant surprise.
NBA star Chris Bosh was spotted looking rather posh, with no tears in sight.  A stark contrast to our last sighting after the Miami Heat player had to use his team-mates as crutches after the Heat fell to the Dallas Mavericks in the 2011 NBA Finals.

The occasion? Bosh and wife Adrianne were on hand looking like members of the country club at the opening of Gallery Valentine in the East Hamptons. Nice to see Bosh fully recovered. Also, just a side note, I love that even in heels Adrianna is still about 3 feet shorter than Bosh.

How To Rock A Ponytail

If you thought the tired old ponytail could not be revived you better think again. The ponytail is a big hit for summer.

Instead of the tightly pulled ponytail that we are use to, the new ponytails are more relaxed and modern.

3 new ponytails to try this season are:

1. The Pony with a Pouf
This pony is looser than usual and the volume gives it a softer look.

2. The Breezy Pony
This pony makes you feel like you're not trying too hard. With this pony movement is key, so if your hair is dead straight wrap it around a curling iron for a few minutes before pulling it back.

3. The Side Pony
Now this pony is a throwback to the 80s, but by keeping it low and close to the head it will have a more modern look.

Easy 4th of July BBQ!

For all our American friends...

There is a solid chance that you'll be grilling today...you might even be trying to impress someone with your bbq skills. Here is a quick and simple rub recipe that will make people think you are a celebrity chef:

  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground coffee (sounds weird but it's delicious)
  • 2 teaspoons (packed) golden brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
The best part about this rub is that you can put it on ANYTHING! Steak, burgers, pork chops, chicken....you name it! (And I'm speaking some experience here. I have literally put this rub on every kind of meat you can throw on a bbq.)

Be safe today, eat some great food, have a few beers and celebrate!

The Little White Dress

We all know that the staple item in your wardrobe should be a little black dress but is that really practical for the summer months?

Probably not!

The little white dress should be the new staple in your summer wardrobe. Not only will it keep you cooler but the white is so crisp and airy that it makes the dress look effortless.

The little black absorbs UV rays, which would make you hotter and that's the last thing we want. The little white dress, on the other hand, reflects light and heat.

What's also great about the white dress is that it functions just as well as (if not better than) the black. It can be dressed up or dressed down and anyone can find a style that flatters their body shape. Try wearing the white dress with color blocked shoes or jewelry for an extra trendy look this season.

If you haven't already done so get out there and find your perfect little white dress.
