TV5 introduces another top-notch dramaserye with the most captivating story that will surely have viewers hooked every night.
Starting this Monday, July 18, primetime viewing is spiced with intense drama and unique characters in the first TV adaptation of a classic Pinoy comics series – Rod Santiago’s The Sisters.
Top-billed by the newest Kapatid star who is touted as the prime actress of her generation, Nadine Samonte in a challenging dual role, Rod Santiago’s The Sisters features the compelling story of twin sisters Cristina and Bella Santiago whose relationship is put to the test with the consequences of their personal choices and the obstacles that fate brings their way.
The Santiago twins may look exactly alike, but beneath their identical facade lies an extreme difference that entails their twisted fate. Cristina and Bella will also fall prey to the scheming ways of their vindictive aunt Socorro (Rio Locsin), who will stop at nothing to take everything from the sisters and their family.
This new primetime series also brings back one of the most talented actors and sought after leading men to popular dramatic actresses, Leandro Munoz. Portraying the role of the twins’ childhood friend Rafael, his character will be enmeshed in a complicated love triangle that will greatly affect the bond between the two sisters.
Under the incomparable direction of Bb. Joyce Bernal and Argel Joseph, Rod Santiago’s The Sisters boasts of a powerhouse cast that also includes Eddie Garcia, Alicia Alonzo, Zoren Legaspi, Lotlot De Leon, Susan Africa, Edgar Allan Guzman, Rocky Gutierrez, Alyana Asistio, James Blanco, Wendell Ramos, introducing Eula Caballero and Victor Silayan.
Rod Santiago’s The Sisters brings forth as its theme song an exceptional rendition of the song “Hiram” as performed by Faith Cuneta with Gerald Salonga’s Philharmonic Orchestra.
